AREVA and its local partner ENSYS have been selected by U-Thong Bio Power, a Thai independent power producer, for the construction of a biomass power plant located in the Supanburi Province, in the North-West of Thailand. The total value of the project is US$ 17 million.
The plant fueled by rice husk and by bagasse, will generate a total output of 9.9 MW electrical power, enough to provide 6000 to 8000 households with green electricity.The project is scheduled for completion end of 2013.
