At Intersolar Europe, the German inverter manufacturer from Neckarsulm secured a cooperation agreement with one of today’s most important manufacturers of lithium-ion based storage mediums, Samsung SDI. At the world’s largest solar power trade fair in Munich, KACO new energy not only presented the Powador-gridsave, it’s energy storage and management system which is ready for delivery, it also secured an excellent source for continuous supply of the necessary batteries.
The Memorandum of Understanding for further cooperation was signed by Mr. Sangjin Park, CEO of Samsung SDI, and Mr. Ralf Hofmann, CEO of KACO new energy. The key items of this MoU are to support each other in defining optimised energy storage systems: Mainly, KACO new energy intends to pursue with this supplier storage systems in both the private and industrial sectors. Samsung SDI has command over the whole process chain from manufacturing of the storage cells right up to the integration in a complete battery system, including battery management. Thanks to Samsungs involvement with other large scale customers, the Korean company will reach the quantities which are necessary to drive the prices down successfully
