Vienna based Activ Solar announces the completion of the second and final phase of the Starokozache Solar Power Station located in the region of Odessa (Ukraine). The second phase of the project adds an additional 21.77 megawatt-peak (MWp) raising the projects total installed capacity to 42.95 MWp.
The Starokozache Power Station is installed over a surface of 80 hectares and consists of 185,952 multi-crystalline solar modules and 41 inverters. The solar plant will generate 54,106 megawatt hours of electricity per annum – enough to supply approximately 11,000 households with clean electricity and saves up to 44,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
The Starokozache Power Station is the first photovoltaic project completed by Activ Solar in the Odessa region. Owing to this region’s favorable conditions for photovoltaic installations, the company is currently developing and constructing further solar parks in the region.
