Topping the list of more than 180 companies for the third consecutive time in 2011, the latest results were compiled with data through December 9, 2011 and published in The Wall Street Journal. Cooper Industries received the top score in Technology Strength™, which is a measure that indicates an overall strength of the company's patent portfolio holdings with a combined measure for quality and quantity.
The Patent Board provides an annual assessment of a company's intellectual property quality and quantity, this year ranking 181 companies in the Industrial Components & Fixtures category. Cooper Industries' number one ranking marks the third time the company has taken the lead this year and is the fourth consecutive year Cooper Industries has been placed in the top ten.
